Family and business life

There have been unexpected changes in my family life which have made for some major changes in my business hours and location. When I started Country Massage from the extension built into my home, I had started a business without any clients or personal experience massaging the public, building clientele and a business image. It took me a couple years to create a small business that was located on a residential street with very little curb appeal. It took me an equal amount of time to create boundaries and balance the work and home life. As I shut the door on my business being located at my home, I look back with amusement, the times my kindergarten aged daughter answered the door in cape and underwear when clients didn’t know which door to go to! I think back and chuckle at the times I answered the door in my pajamas and hair in disarray when I had forgotten or overbooked an appointment!

All the early mornings in the winter when I tried to get the wood pellet stove started for a cozy and comfortable atmosphere and it crapped out on me at the worst times! I had some great times and successful business operating from 601 E Court Street but I’m optimistically moving on to the next chapter.

I went from being a family of three to 9 in very little time. For private reasons my elder sister and her five children have moved to Condon, more specifically my house and their ages range from 2 months to 11 years! Because of this I won’t have the same flexibility as in the past for no shows or last minute bookings. In addition I won’t be accepting new insurance clients at this time which includes Medicare and OHP. Thank you in advance for your understanding as I transition my business to a new location.
